Latest Picnic on Record

Standard

Today must have been a record of some sort for an outdoor picnic in Montreal. We went to the Bio Dome and ate our lunch outside on a picnic table. It was a bit chilly but not too bad and it was a lot of fun.
We also stopped by the Christmas window at Oglivy’s downtown. This Christmas display is something I used to go see every year with my Grandmother growing up. It has been around since 1947 and the hand crafted puppets can’t be bought anymore. They are repaired and carefully stored away every year and every year the window is altered a little for a fresh new window each Christmas season.
After looking at the window and listening to the Spoon man (local busker who has been playing the spoons outside Ogilvy’s for about 16 years), we headed off to the Bio Dome.
After our chilly but fun picnic, we headed inside and saw monkeys, birds, fish, lynx, penguins and a whole lot more. Both the big kids and the little kids had a lot of fun and it was a good start to the holiday season.
Thankfully, no crazy Black friday shopping for us.
