Today we made Christmas tree ornaments using old Christmas cards, a punch, some glue and some ribbon. They were cheap, easy to make, look nice and it was a fun family activity. We have a special circular punch, but you could use an old can from recycling and trace around the can and cut out the circles.
What you need to do is find some old Christmas cards and punch out three small circles. Try and make the circles have a nice design or colours on them. Next, fold them in half, put some glue on the back and stick them together. Punch a small hole in the top, attach a ribbon and then hang on the Christmas tree.
We had great fun sitting by the tree, looking at old cards, figuring out where to cut the circles, gluing and finally hanging our new ornaments.
I think they look quite nice!
